POSITION TITLE: PART-TIME/SEASONAL LABORER – Water Sewer Maintenance
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: For purposes of 42 USC 12101.
Performs a variety of unskilled, semi-skilled, and skilled laborer tasks in order to assist with the maintenance of city facilities or property (e.g., sprays weeds and grasses, mows grass, cuts weeds, landscapes, paints hydrants, assist with valve exercise program, patches roadways, wash vehicles, cleans ditches, trims and cuts trees, etc.). Inspects equipment prior to operation in order to ensure such equipment is safe to operate. Maintains and repairs city tools and equipment. Maintains proper communication with supervisor. Maintains required licensure and certification. Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance. Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable OSHA safety standards that pertain to essential functions.
Performs other duties as required.
Must be at least 18 years of age at time of appointment. Completion of secondary education (high school or GED), previous experience in building, grounds, or maintenance preferred, or equivalent combination of training and/or experience.
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license.
RATE OF PAY: $15.00/HR
